Electric BIAB (Brew In A Bag) ControllersOur BIAB controllers are designed to manage your entire BIAB process mash without breaking the bank. With an electric BIAB controller you control your mash, and boil all with one heating element managed by one controller. The one real advantage to BIAB is after your mash is done you lift out the grain bag, let it drain and start your boil. With our controller you just flip the mode switch up to boil, turn the boil knob all the way up until you start boil then adjust the boil knob to the boil rate you want – and assuming you have a way to hang your grain bag above your pot, all while your grain bag is still draining!!! There is nothing to unplug, plug in or to switch over. And there are no controller settings to fiddle with. Controls are simple and the boil control knob is sensitive enough to set exactly where you want. Note: Some customers use our BIAB controller as a conventional brewery controller by swapping elements. They plug in their mash tun for mash, then unplug their mash tun and plug in their boil pot for boil. Our standard BIAB controller is available with a GFCI compatible 4 prong plug and we strongly recommend this choice for GFCI protection. This controller will work with a GFCI protected or non-CFCI protected 4 prong dryer outlet.
But we understand that many home brewers use a dryer outlet as a their power source and most older dryer plugs are 3 prong, so we also offer a non-GFCI compliant 3 prong version of our BIAB controller.

Our BIAB controllers feature:

| Features a 10 Gauge SJOOW 12 foot power cord with a 4 prong dryer style power plug. | |

Specifications and Installation Recommendations:
| Our standard 220/240V BIAB controllers are built with 4 prong dryer type plugs, with 3 prong versions available. Like all of our other controllers, these are 100% tested behind GFCI breakers and to be 100% GFCI compliant our 220/240V controllers must be 4 wire. We highly recommend running a dedicated GFCI protected 30 Amp 4 wire circuit for your brew area. NEC Code in most areas will require you to run 4 wires to a sub panel and one of the best choices on the market is a SPA panel. This controller will easily handle up to a 7000 watt heater after factoring in power for a circulation pump.
Even though this controller can handle up to 7000 Watts, many BIAB systems are lower volume and we recommend sizing your BIAB element to match your boil volume. 2 – 3 gallons = 2000 – 3500 Watt |
