Think about it – your water heater, car engine, refrigerator, AC / Heating System will all eventually fail.

And so will your home brewery controller!

The picture below is of the inside of a controller. The SSR (Solid State Relay) failed in a customer’s controller after a little more than 2 years of use. But this was a good failure! Why? Because the failure occurred in one of our controllers, and our aluminum housing contained all of the heat energy until the fire ran out of oxygen and put itself out!

This would not have ended so well if the same failure had occurred in the plastic housing some of our competitor’s use. Their housings may be flame retardant, but they aren’t heat proof. The amount of heat generated by this failure would have melted any plastic housing and potentially caused a house fire.
